Iranian ‘The Fourth Wall’ to participate in Annecy

Iranian ‘The Fourth Wall’ is to take part in the Annecy Int’l Animation Film Festival in France.

The Annecy International Animation Film Festival in France has scheduled to offer Iranian ‘The Fourth Wall’.

Written and directed by Mahboubeh Kalaee, the short animation is included in the lineup of the Perspectives Short Films in Competition of the French festival.

“Home and family, relationships, desires, wishes and everything are summarized in a kitchen. The stuttering boy is alone there, playing with his imagination,” a synopsis for the 10-minute animation reads.

The Annecy International Animation Film Festival was created in 1960 and takes place at the beginning of June in the town of Annecy, France. Initially occurring every two years, the festival became an annual event in 1998.

It is one of the four international animated film festivals sponsored by the International Animated Film Association (ASIFA).

The festival is a competition between cartoon films of various techniques (animated drawings, cut-out papers, modeling clay, computer-generated imagery, etc.) classified into various categories of Feature films, Short films, Films produced for television and advertising, Student films, and Films made for the internet (since 2002).

The 2021 edition of the Annecy will take place online on June 14-19.
